Consulting Director at WealthPoint Ltd
Wealthpoint was a financial services technology vendor owned by St George Bank and Asgard with $34 billion under management.
The role included market entry strategies and business development at board and senior management level. I built the implementation team from two to thirty staff. This resulted in the successful implementation of a number of multi-million dollar projects as listed below.
- Developed a business strategy and change management plan for the platform and a new business model.
- Designed and managed the development of the platform – targeted at fund managers and financial advisors.
- Worked with Asgard to maximise competitive advantage in technology to financial planning groups.
- Managed the implementation of numerous large client projects, with project management, development and consulting.
- Managed the integration of the platform into Asgard and St George Bank existing systems.
- Built a consulting, client service, development and implementation team from 3 to 30 staff.
- Won a number of contracts valued at $6 million and successfully implemented systems to Westpac (300 users), St George (200 users), NRMA (100 users) and Asgard (400 users).
- Increased project revenue from $100,000 to $5.7 million in two years.
Project – E-business Strategy and Implementation
This project was for the St George Private Bank and in this role, I was involved in the development of an e-business strategy, deployment and implementation. This resulted in the implementation of a number of financial planning and web-based applications. The budget was $2.5 million.
Project – Implementation of Financial Planning Software
I managed the implementation of WealthPoint’s financial planning and modelling software to the Westpac Financial Planning network of 700 users. Westpac is one of Australia’s largest banks. This was a success project with a total budget of $3 million.
